Youth Firesetting Resources
Curiosity is natural. Playing with fire is dangerous.
While it’s normal for children to be curious, starting fires is not and it’s not just a phase—it’s a serious and potentially deadly behavior. Fires spread fast and can have devastating consequences.
Research shows that without proper intervention, youth who set fires are likely to do it again. These children need support.
The Minnesota Youth Firesetting Prevention and Intervention (YFPI) program is here to help. They're committed to protecting our communities by providing the education, resources and support families need to address and prevent youth firesetting behavior.
